Estão a ser desenvolvidas missões espaciais para outros planetas que incluam seres humanos? Não. O plano de colocar homens em Marte pelo ano 2020, apresentado pelo antigo Presidente Americano Bush, além de completamente irrealista foi já retirado do "menú". O plano mantém-se, mas será lá mais para 2040. E terá de ser um esforço global pelas verbas envolvidas. Entretanto, por exemplo a ESA, acabou de aprovar o plano ExoMars que vai levar a Marte sondas orbitais e, mais importante, "rovers" que andarão na superfície. Para os anos 20 estão previstas missões que trarão rochas de Marte para a Terra. É um primeiro ensaio para em vez de ir e vir trazendo rochas, ir e vir com humanos a bordo... Por isso mesmo, e porque é uma missão para uns dois anos, também já se estão a testar as reações do corpo humano e do ser humano a um isolamento tão prolongado: por ex., a recente experiência Mars105 e a próxima Mars500 (ver https://www.esa.int/esaMI/Mars500/). In the meantime, ESA, for example, just approved the plan for ExoMars, which will take some space probes to Mars and, more important, "rovers" that will wander the surface. And it's a first rehearsal towards, instead of going and bringing rocks, going and coming back with humans on board... For that reason, and because it's a two year mission, there are already some tests to the human body's reactions, and a human being's reaction to such prolonged isolation.
