The organisation wishes to request contributions to the symposium. You are invited to submit abstracts for papers and posters. All abstracts must be prepared in English and submitted not later than 1st of June 2010 (updated deadline).

The symposium will be organised in 5 sessions:

a. Genetic reserve conservation of CWR in Europe

b. On-farm conservation of landraces in Europe

c. In situ data management

d. In situ PGR conservation: policy implications and implementation

e. Priority setting and threat assessment





As refered all abstracts must be prepared in English and should have between 100 and 500 words. If you intend to present more than one communication you must fill in a submission form for each presentation.

Oral communications will be 20 minutes long (15 minutes presentation + 5 minutes for questions).


Delegates should preferably present their communications in MS PowerPoint. The auditorium is equipped with a data show and portable computers with MS Powerpoint XP for Windows XP.

Delegates using PowerPoint should bring their presentation on a Pen-drive or CD-ROM. Other formats will not be available (zips, floppies, mind matchest, etc). The presentation must be handed in on the first day of the meeting, during registration.






Posters maximum dimensions are 90cm wide x 120cm length. The material to hold the panels will be supplied by the organization.




The proceedings of the meeting will be published to benefit the wider PGR community as printed document if funds can be acquired or as a monograph for Bioversity International online. Please indicate in the Abstract Submission Form if you intend to publish in the proceedings.
